Formed in 1992, the Occasional Singers are part of the music ministry at Union Church of Hinsdale (United Church of Christ), in Hinsdale, Illinois. Besides singing occasionally at Union Church, the group makes occasional guest appearances in the Chicago area and has ventured as far as Tonasket, Washington, to sing for the Tonasket Community Church. Whether performing sacred music, pop, or jazz, it is clear that these folks love singing together.
The songs on this, their first recording, range from contemporary to traditional Christian to songs fo the Christmas season to pop. Whether the tone is reverent or humorous, the selections show the group's talent for singing joyfully.
For inspiration, enrichment, and encouragement, the singers thank friends and fans at Union Church of Hinsdale.
