This uplifting setting of Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow! is based upon traditional progressions and harmony so that your congregation can join in singing the hymn.
For five octave ensembles, the piece fades in with an obbligato pattern
played with mallets on suspended bells in the top octave before a bold
statement of the melody marks the introduction to the hymn. Four octave
choirs begin in the second measure, omitting the suspended mallet
effect.
The introduction concludes with a fermata, ready to welcome the
congregation in singing the hymn, for which the words appear in the
score so that daring handbell ensembles can sing while ringing. Breath
marks appear in the score to help the ensemble properly phrase the work
as an organist would.
Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Flow! only uses simple suspended mallet techniques and does not require any advanced performance techniques.
